Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 15, 2026
1. No accounts or server-side form submission
The Site is a static website. It has no user accounts, no login, and no server-side form processing. Nothing you type into the response generator or wizard is transmitted to the Site’s operators.
2. The generator runs in your browser
The letter generator and situation wizard operate entirely locally in your browser. Values you enter exist only on your device and disappear when you close or reload the page, except as described below.
3. Checklist state uses localStorage
The evidence-preservation checklist stores its checkbox state in your browser’s localStorage so it persists between visits on the same device. That data never leaves your browser. To clear it, use your browser’s “clear site data” controls for this site, or clear localStorage from the developer tools.
4. No analytics or tracking
The supplied version of the Site contains no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no tracking cookies. It loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or beacons.
5. No sale of personal data
The Site’s operators do not collect, sell, or share personal data through the Site.
6. Hosting-provider logs
The hosting or CDN provider serving the Site may automatically log technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser user-agent, and timestamps, including for file downloads. Those logs are governed by the hosting provider’s own policies.
7. External links
The Site links to third-party resources (statutes, court opinions, specifications, reporting portals). Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.
8. Security limitations
No website can guarantee security. Avoid entering confidential, privileged, or sensitive personal information into any tool on a public or shared device.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
10. International visitors
The Site is oriented to United States law and may be hosted or cached in multiple countries. By using it you understand that hosting-provider logs may be processed where the provider operates.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated. The effective date above reflects the latest revision.
12. If features change
If a future version adds analytics, forms, email collection, accounts, payments, cookies, or server-side storage, this policy must be updated first, and consent requirements may apply. The supplied version includes none of those features.
